VE TESTING BEGINS AT APRIL MEETING
ARRL VE Testing begins on April 8th at the W4HOD clubhouse. Testing will start at 6 PM, one hour prior to the club meeting. Test sessions will be held monthly. If necessary, the session will be held at the Loachapoka Town Hall across the street. See our VE Testing page for more info.
HODARS TAILGATE AND SWAPFEST
At the February meeting of HODARS, several members expressed interest in having a swapfest and tailgate sometime in the next few months. The subject was met with favorable comments from all in attendance. It will be discussed further at the March meeting. Check back here for further details.
ALABAMA QSO PARTY
HODARS will be operating the W4HOD club station in the 2008 Alabama QSO party on June 7th and 8th. W4HOD will be sponsoring a plaque for the contest. The sponsorship funds will be donated by club members Mike Parmer, KF4OPX and Cheryl Whitlock, AA4YL. Check back for further details. Here is a link for the 2008 rules.
W4HOD will have a special guest at the April meeting. Jim, KC4HW from the Alabama Contest Group will be visiting us and his program will be on the Alabama QSO Party. We plan on filling him up with spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and dessert. I hope he is able to drive home afterwards.
FIELD DAY 2008
W4HOD is beginning plans to operate the club station for Field Day 2008 on June 28th and 29th. Check here for further details.
